Our Homes: Inviolata

Inviolata is a modern, comfortable home situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Enderby. The home offers accommodation for up to two young people, aged between 8 and 17, who may have emotional behavioural difficulties or have a learning disability.

The home offer’s a nurturing environment, as well as being a stimulating and homely living space.

Our aim is to provide young people with planned care and support, we want to encourage young people to attend Education or Collage, encourage personal growth to help them work through any difficulties they may have, to ensure their emotional needs are being met.

We strive to help young people achieve their full potential, to help them build on their strengths, and to achieve independence ready for when they leave care later on in their lives.

Our staff team provide continuity and consistency of care, staff are provided with a thorough induction programme and undertake training such as: Safeguarding, Child Protection, CSE, Behaviour Management, First-Aid, Administration of Medication, NAPPI, Makaton and Fire Safety etc. All staff are required to undertake the Diploma Level 3 in caring for Children and Young People. The staff team alongside providing their professional expertise, have a genuine desire to achieve the best outcomes for the Young People in our care.


Paul White Responsible Individual

Paul has worked in children’s residential care since 1977, initially in mainstream homes for almost 25 years and subsequently in Intellectual Disability children’s homes. He was a Deputy for 10 years in a variety of locations in larger (20 bedded home and 10 bedded) and subsequently as a manager of smaller homes. He has managed homes for  34 years, most recently dual registered for  two homes next door to each other. He has line managed a number of homes and worked as responsible individual. In the disability sector he has specialised in working with children with Severe Autism and Learning Disabilities, typically with complex needs,  achieving good outcomes for young people and their families. He enjoys research in the field of Autism and uses the learning effectively presenting training programmes on the subject to staff to ensure all have a sound understanding, including sensory needs. This specialist work requires insight into the mind of individuals with Autism, understanding sensory needs, types of communication and complex behaviours. The aim is always to make  difference in young people’s lives and be supportive to the families.

In 2019 Paul was awarded Manager of the Year in the Learning Disability and Autism awards. He is supportive of Managers and team members in their roles, provides in depth Autism training and continues to enjoy active work with young people and their families, as part of his Responsible Individual role.


Aleyah Butt Registered Manager

Aleyah has worked in Residential Childrens care for over 21 years specialising with young people who have Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and challenging behaviour. 14 years of these has been as a deputy She is an enthusiastic and professional  person, who enjoys being part of a team with a passion for delivering high standards of care to children and young people with intellectual disabilities, behaviours that challenge and Autism.

Aleyah has demonstrated that she observes, motivates, and develops teams, managing her team for 6 months as interim manager looking after 4 young people with different diagnosis including Autism and who present behaviours that challenge. She has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with the various agencies involved with young people. Aleyah speaks 5 languages and signs in Makaton. She has a strong focus on children’s health care needs, developing communication skills and support into transitioning to supported living.

Over the years Aleyah has adapted well to challenges and is able to work under pressure in the busy environments of children’s homes. She has very high standards and expects these from her team. She is a strong advocate in terms of staff development and understanding Autism in all its complexities and is involved with the RI in presenting training. Aleyah is hard working and dedicates her time to supporting families, young people, and children with special needs, enabling and empowering both families and young people to have positive outcomes.

Aleyah believes that the children’s and young people needs are paramount and that as carers, we are their voices, their advocates, to ensures all of their needs are met by all agencies..
